Location of Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League Atchafalaya Basin Tournament Moved

BERWICK, La. — The Louisiana Division of the $8.4 million Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League will visit the Atchafalaya Basin Feb. 19 for the first of five regular-season events. Belle River Landing in Belle River was the original host site for takeoff and weigh-in. High-water conditions, however, prompted FLW Outdoors officials to relocate the takeoff and weigh-in site.

The takeoff and weigh-in for the Louisiana Division season opener will now be held at Jessie Fontenot Memorial Landing, also known as Berwick Landing, in Berwick. Takeoff and weigh-in times remain 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively. Registration times and locations for the event remain unchanged – Feb. 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Wal-Mart store located at 973 Hwy. 90 East in Bayou Vista.

If the Feb. 19 tournament is not yet full, entries will be accepted at tournament registration. Entry fees are $200 for boaters and $100 for co-anglers. A late fee also applies to entries taken on site along with a $25 membership fee for anglers who are not yet members of FLW Outdoors.
